"...possibilities and opportunities..."

As human beings, we are all deserving of a fulfilling life, one that is open and flexible to the abundant possibilities and opportunities that are available to us.

"...connect together..."

Relationships motivate us to connect together and become involved with one another. Life is enriched through the emotional ties we have that bond us to each other and to ourselves. We are not meant to exist in isolation.

Experience Empathy (Plaza Posada), 23542 Lyons Avenue, Suite 206, Santa Clarita, CA 91321,(661) 207-1292

Person Centered

Currently, I am not accepting new appointments. We are not meant to live in isolation. With great dedication, I offer personal private therapy services to individuals, couples, families, in addition to working with group settings navigate the twists and turns that life may bring. I understand some of the unique requirements of people who are involved in highly sensitive professions.

Person-Centered Therapy (a.k.a. Client-Centered Therapy), is a concept developed by Carl Rogers, along with 6 Factors based on the premise that you have your own experience and you are giving that experience a voice. Our exploration focuses in on learning how to listen to that voice. Together, we provide the environment and support you need.

Learn how to establish a mutual connection between you and your resources. Sometimes, the most difficult thing to understand about this process, is that you are NOT broken, you need support. You will be provided with a non-discriminatory space, in a non-judgemental manner. Let us explore the path that brings you here. Together, we are patient in respect to your meaningful collection of life events as we take our time, to honor each one. With your valuable knowledge and understanding, let us address the challenge in front of you. Discover how you define success.

FAQS

FAQs

Q: How long is therapy?

A: Professional therapeutic relationships are similar to other relationships, where it takes time to establish rapport with people and to earn their trust. Time spent in this alliance varies from person-to-person, depending on where they want to focus their attention. Usually, the Consumer directs the process which allows for a more profound personal experience.

Q: What can you help me with?

A: Listed are some possibilities. Call to inquire about your ideas.

Adjusting to Change / Life Transitions

    Aging / Geriatric / Reminiscence

    Anxieties and Fears

    Blended Family

Caregiver / Conservator / Fiduciary Matters

Child and / or Adolescent Concerns

    Depression

    Health and Medical

Relational (Attachment) (more information) / Relationship Matters

Q: What is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)?

A: A LMFT is:

a graduate with a Master's degree through an accredited university

experienced in having earned the minimum requirement of 3000 hours documented supervised practice as an AMFT (a BBS registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, formally MFTI intern, can only practice under the supervision of a qualified, licensed, mental health supervisor)

in completion of a two stage examination process

issued a license number by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)

able to provide direct services to the public in the state of California, as a licensed clinician

Please note that a LMFT can only ethically and legally provide services as a Psychotherapist performing Psychotherapy specific to the state where they are licensed.  This includes telehealth  (UPDATE).

To be considered a "specialist" or having "expertise" in a particular area, that person must have, at least, additional practical, educational, and/or actual practice experience (possibly having earned an additional certificate, degree or license) that is recognized to meet the professional standards of that specialty area. For example, a Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) Practitioner.

Q: What is the fee? Do you take insurance?

A: I offer a flat rate per 50-minute session. During our initial telephone interview, we will agree upon a fee. Should you require a reduced rate, please let me know. For those with a financial need, I offer limited appointments as a professional member through the Open Path Collective. Due to the limited amount of financial need appointments, if at that time you cannot be accommodated, you will be offered referrals to alternative resources of support.

As a private practitioner, I offer a monthly statement and/or a "super bill," as I do not bill insurance companies directly and I encourage you to discuss "out-of-network" coverage with your insurance carrier.
